Embry-Riddle: Prescott IT Team Donates Computers to Kenyan Schoolchildren

Just because a computer has reached the end of its life at Embry-riddle doesn’t mean it needs to be shipped away to the computer graveyard. To support that belief, the Information Technology team at the Prescott Campus has been donating used machines to those in need overseas.

Once a computer gets replaced on campus, its hard drive is wiped clean, often reconditioned by a tech worker, and then put into surplus. Once enough computers pile up, many are donated to schools as far away as Kenya.
