School Dist. of Palm Beach: Green Grants available for schools to fund recycling projects

WEST PALM BEACH– Thanks to a grant from the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County, the School District of Palm Beach County is launching a Green Grants program to provide money to schools for sustainability and recycling projects.

The $1,000 grant was given to the District’s Environmental & Conservation Services (ECS) Department to award up to $150 in “classroom mini-grants” to schools that want to establish or expand their student recycling programs by purchasing collection bins for recycling, supporting a waste reduction project, or providing informative posters and educational materials.
