FLR Shared Services Portfolio
Within the past year we have entered in agreements with multiple business partners to make available services for our members and afiliates. To date, we have agreements with Dell Secureworks, Blue Jeans Audio and Video Conferencing, and AT&T Synaptic Compute and Storage that extend exceptional services at competitive prices. We continue searching for private sector partners that can meet the needs of our network participants and look forward making additional services available to the FLR community in the coming year.
Dell SecureWorks, an industry leader in information security services, partners with state, regional and national membership organizations to help address the IT security issues facing organizations within each industry. SecureWorks offers information security services that include managed security, consulting, intelligence, incident response, and compliance. SecureWorks services have been available to FLR members and afiliates since spring of 2014.
Blue Jeans Audio & Video Conferencing is an alternative to traditional audio conferencing used for meetings, conferences, small group training, etc. FLR participants have the ability to schedule access to online audio and video meetings with a video-enabled device and Internet access. Blue Jeans has been available since the spring of 2014 and its use is free for FLR members and afiliates.
ATT Synaptic Compute and Storage offers on-demand virtual machines and associated networking resources in a self-service, pay-as-you-go model. Users can provision, run, manage and remove virtual assets as needed. With this service AT&T provides and manages the virtualization infrastructure, servers and storage while users provide and manage the operating system, database and application. Services for FLR members and afiliates will become available in the spring of 2015.
