Following each of the key focus areas is an expected outcome; action plans or steps to achieve that outcome; and also, primary performance indicators (PI’s) to help the FLR Board of Directors and Corporate Staff measure and assess key focus area accomplishment.
SUMMARY: KEY EXTERNAL FOCUS AREAS EXPECTED OUTCOMES
Research & Education: FLR continues to be recognized as a key enabler and provider of advanced R&E network access and global inter-connectivity to meet the research, education and related business needs of the FLR Partner Institutions and applicable Affiliates.
Innovative Partnerships & Strategic Alliances: FLR continues to establish Innovative Partnerships and Strategic Alliance’s to leverage the use of FLR’s key assets and services.
Business Sustainment & Growth: FLR’s business model facilitates the implementation of new business development concepts and services; enables third party partnerships for enhanced network connectivity and capabilities; and also promotes an environment for additional Partner Institution and Affiliate growth.
Broadband & Network Services Delivery: FLR’s network infrastructure and services are designed to maintain and sustain 99.999% wave hours availability; provide sufficient overhead to accommodate increased research & education needs (including a Regional Science DMZ and an experimentation platform for emerging technologies) on a regional, national and global basis.
FLR network and third party services bring added value (cost effective, lower priced, reduced administrative overhead) to Partner Institutions and Affiliates.
